What does Youth Ministry do?

  1. Equips and empowers young people to daily live as disciples of Jesus Christ;
  2. Draws young people to responsible participation in the life, mission and work of the Catholic faith community; and,
  3. Fosters the total personal and spiritual growth of each young person through prayer, the Sacraments, Catholic faith sharing, and service to others.

How does St. Croix Valley Youth Ministry do all that?

We are a LIFE TEEN parish. LIFE TEEN is a program that encourages senior high school teens learn more about their Catholic faith and grow to love the Sacraments, the Word, and the Mass. Through the LIFE TEEN Program, the Parish builds an environment where teens feel loved, accepted, and compelled to reach deeper into their faith.
LIFE TEEN nights are held every Sunday evening. Following the 6:00 pm Mass at St. Mary’s, the senior high teens are lead more deeply into their Catholic faith in the LIFE Night experience. Teens grow as a faith community, increasing in understanding of what it means to be young and Catholic in today’s world.

Service projects. Senior high teens are invited to help out throughout the year with various service projects which include the Courage Center Christmas Party, Sharing/Caring Hands volunteer opportunities, summer mission trips, a Guatemalan cultural experience as well as service to our parish communities in a variety of ways.
