The Religious Writings of C.S. Lewis
(1898-1963)

Dr. Thomas Loome will teach a series of 13 classes devoted to four of the most important books of C.S. Lewis - The Screwtape Letters, The Problem of Pain, The Weight of Glory, and The Abolition of Man.  Lewis was one of the intellectual giants of the 20th century and arguably the most influential Christian writer of his day.  He wrote more than thirty books, allowing him to reach a vast audience, and his works continue to attract thousands of new readers every year.

The series is open to all who are interested, non-Catholics as well as Catholics.  There is no charge for these classes, but all who attend should have their own copies of the four books by C.S. Lewis.  The books are easily obtainable on-line or at bookstores like Border's.

All of these classes will follow the same weekly schedule as in the past with the Catechism: Mondays in Hudson, Thursdays in Stillwater - each class will therefore be taught twice:

St. Patrick's:  Monday evenings - for men and women
Sept 13 - Dec 13, 2010     7:00-8:30pm
Church of St. Patrick, Hudson

St. Mary's: Thursday evenings - for men and women
Sept 16 - Dec 16, 2010     7:00-8:30pm
Church of St. Mary, Stillwater (Rel. Education Center)
