Jr. High Faith Formation (Grades 7 and 8)
There are three options available for the 7th and 8th grade youth this coming year. One option will be held on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of the month; Intergenerational/Family Faith sessions. These classes are for the entire family. On the first Wednesday, adults will meet at the same time as the children; 7th and 8th graders will be in class from 6:30 – 8:00 while parents attend a speaker’s presentation. At the end of the evening, adults and parents will be given handouts and materials to use to deepen their faith and to use throughout the month with their children at home. On the third Wednesday the family will participate in various service projects. Participants will meet at St. Michael’s Social Hall and then various forms of service will be provided for participants to do. Service nights will be held from 6:30 – 8:00pm and are for all adults and families in the tri-parishes of St. Charles, St. Mary and St. Michael – preschool through adults.
The second option is our current model of Faith Formation where students attend Wednesday evening classes from 6:30 – 8:00pm. Classes will held at the St. Croix Catholic School and St. Michael's Campus. They will generally meet on the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays each month September through May.
The third option is new this year. We have added 7th and 8th grade classes to the afternoon program. The afternoon program meets on the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of each month. The afternoon program runs from 4:00pm - 5:30pm and all classes will be held at the St. Croix Catholic School and St. Michael's Campus. The curriculum used for all programs is the Image of God series co-authored by Father LeVoir and published by Ignatius Press.--------------------------------------------------------------------
